To empower individuals with drug and alcohol addictions and co-occurring disorders with the tools to transform their lives. Synergy’s Residential Treatment Program serves adults with chronic substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues who typically have been unsuccessful in shorter term rehabilitation programs. The primary goal of the self-help program is to restore those served to levels of positive and appropriate individual functioning. The program consists of clinical treatment (including 12 Step Recovery Program), educational development, and vocational training. Clients receive individual counseling, participate in intensive group therapy sessions, and attend 12-step recovery meetings. They receive education about the addictive disease and its processes, abstinence and relapse prevention, management of anger, and processing of emotions. Those in need of medical services are referred to partnering agencies for medical, medical health, dental, and ophthalmology care. Vocational rehabilitation is a core part of the program and clients receive a job placement in one of Synergy's owned and operated businesses or with local employers that provide a wide variety of skills training. This component uniquely supports nearly one-half of the program's operational costs.
