Families Matter Inc

The mission of Families Matter is to increase the number of healthy, loving, caring and forgiving Families through a community – wide movement. Our vision is to create a unified, sustainable, community – wide movement that will increase the number of healthy, loving and caring families. We are motivated to carry out our vision because of the breakdown of the family in Memphis and Shelby County. In order to achieve our mission, we are addressing the need to educate, enhance, encourage and support men, women, mothers, fathers and students in their knowledge of building healthy relationships and families.

Families Matter is involved in every area of building and strengthening family life. The school program support youth in understanding the need to hope, create and build success by applying basic rules. Those rules include building and having healthy self-esteem, establishing and using a good attitude, building integrity, and being determined to create a successful life. Men are created to be leaders of their home with the lack of servant leadership creating the chaos currently seen in homes today no matter the economic status. Families Matter Fatherhood Program is designed to educate, encourage, enhance and support boys and men in understanding their God given role within the family structure. Families Matter involvement with churches support our vision and goals by maintaining relationships with places of worship by providing the most important element needed to create a healthy relationship and a healthy marriage. The most important element is helping individuals, students, couples and married couples understand their need to have a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
