Who We Are

Committed to family-centered, community-based, coordinated care for infected adults and children who are infected or affected by HIV and AIDS. Includes transportation, housing, early childhood education and social services for the entire family.

What We Do

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of HIV-affected individuals and their families by providing high quality early childhood education and social services. Hope House is a comprehensive social service agency with a mission to improve the quality of life for HIV-affected individuals and their families by providing high quality early childhood education and social services. We serve 32 children, 6 weeks to 5 years old, who are affected by HIV/AIDS through a daycare and preschool program. Hope House also offers on-site play therapy for our children as needed and connects their parents with any social services they might need. Our childcare center is NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) accredited and has received three stars in all seven categories of the State of TN Star Quality Program. Also, our preschool is a Shelby County School Community Partner. Hope House also serves about 120 adults through our adult social services which includes the following programs: Violence Prevention Parent Training Program, Individual Counseling, Support Groups, Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program (TBRA-a rental subsidy that helps client households afford housing costs such as rent, utilities, security deposits, and/or utility deposits), Mentoring, Emergency Financial Assistance, Case Management, and Life Skill Classes including Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin’ By World, Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University, and Boundaries.
