Who We Are

DeltaARTS, established in 1972, provides arts education and imaginative learning experiences to over 15,500 residents of all ages in east AR, west TN and north MS. Programs include student matinee series, Family Arts Series, Lincoln Center Aesthetic Educator Workshops, Wolf Trap Early Learning, Crittenden Youth Theatre, Arts Focus Schools, Young Authors Symposium, Arts for Seniors and DeltaARTS Gallery. DeltaARTS was the recipient of the 2015 Arkansas Governor's Award for Arts Education.

What We Do

"Transforming the Delta Through Imaginative Arts Education" DeltaARTS provides Crittenden Co., AR and surrounding communities with arts education programs. In FY2016 DeltaARTS' programs served 15,500 students, educators, parents & seniors through the school matinee series (six part performing arts series for students that includes opera, theatre, modern & traditional dance, classical & blues music, & mime); Wolf Trap Early Learning Through the Arts (an early childhood residency program that brings dynamic teaching artists into the classrooms to work in partnership with educators to engage the students in theatre, music & dance lessons that focus on the early childhood curriculum);Lincoln Center Aesthetic Education Educator Workshop & Classroom Residencies (a world class hands on professional development program of imaginative teaching & learning philosophy followed by custom designed classroom residencies); Focus School (all teachers & students at the schools working in partnership with teaching artists to incorporate the arts in all aspects of teaching & learning); Crittenden Youth Theatre (for students in grades k-12 composed of main stage & touring productions giving students the opportunity to engage in acting, singing, dancing, scene & set creation); & DeltaARTS' Gallery & Public Art. Specific skills taught in these programs include "noticing deeply, embodying, questioning, making connections, identifying patterns, exhibiting empathy, creating meaning, taking action & reflecting/assessing."
