WTAC is a comprehensive youth development organization serving 20 counties. WTAC is divided into 5 service area - Districts. Provides direct service to unit leaders with administration, a Council Service Center with a full time, trained staff; organize activities, and training; maintain camping and outdoor event areas; provide planning, advancement, and education materials; and provides insurance for volunteer leaders and scouts with around the clock staff to assist with emergencies.

The Mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. By partnering with local churches civic organizations, our comprehensive youth development program is designed to assist these organizations in achieving the following: 1. Instill in young people the ethical character values based on the Scout Oath and Law 2. Train young people in good citizenship traits especially those related to service, leadership and positive social behavior, 3. Prepare young people with age appropriate personal life skills designed to foster self-reliance including preparation for employment, the ability to care for others, and in other ways maximize their full potential. 4.
