We believe in the power of healing through the help of a horse, and we’re honored to have had the opportunity to support almost 500 veterans in the past 5 years. We’re looking for dedicated volunteers who enjoy being outside and making a difference in their community as we prepare for our Fall Veteran Equine Therapy Sessions.
Group equine-assisted therapy sessions are currently held every Thursday morning and we need volunteers to work directly with our horses and veterans under the guidance of our therapists and PATH certified instructors. We need folks over the age of 16 with the ability to be sidewalkers, lift tack, and help with grooming and groundwork.
Details are always emailed to volunteers with plenty of advance notice on when we’ll need you at our barn in Olive Branch, MS. From preparation to cleaning up, sessions will require less than 2 hours of your time.
