Who We Are

Indomitable Women of Incarcerated Men, Inc. was founded by Crystal DeBerry in February 2014. The number one goal of IWIM is to help restore and empower those affected by Incarceration. IWIM is a non-profit program designed to develop and address educational and biopsychosocial components of men with convictions and their families. The outreach program is notable for benefiting women, who have a loved one incarcerated, and alleviating environmental and psychosocial stressors.

What We Do

Indomitable Women of Incarcerated Men, Inc. orchestrates a string of programs and events that are dedicated to families who are faced with obstacles due to the incarceration of a loved one. These programs include Support Socials the “Incarcerated to indomitable” housing projects, Pre-HiSET (High School Equivalency) tutoring and case management services. In each of these programs, our goal is to assist our target population to combat an array of barriers. IWIM provides adequate resources that meet the individual goal and specific needs of each family or individual. IWIM is a non-profit organization that serves Memphis and Shelby County residents in Shelby County affected by incarceration. We are targeting and fit under the categories of anti-crime, anti-recidivism, violence prevention, substance abuse, mental health, and homelessness. By helping returning citizens we are taking steps to improve and revitalize our community. Everyone deserves a second chance to change the outcome of their life. IWIM is proactively providing men and families affected by incarceration a new beginning and a chance to move in a new direction in their lives.
