Who We Are
Operates the DeSoto County Museum beginning in 2003. The Museum features Hernando DeSoto, the Civil War, agriculture and famous DeSoto County residents. We educate visitors and county school students about county history and help promote the county's tourism industry.
What We Do
The DeSoto County Museum educates the public about the history of the DeSoto County area by preserving and interpreting artifacts that represent the history of DeSoto County Mississippi This program funded by the United Way is used to educate DeSoto County school children about different aspects of county history ranging from geology to archaeology, slavery to civil rights, and general county history.
