Girl Scouts Heart of the South

Girl Scouts Heart of the South is preparing girls for every day leadership. With proactive, passionate women as mentors, we provide hands-on, girl-led experiences for girls in grades K-12 to explore new interests, face challenges, form new friendships, make lasting community contributions, and have access to life-changing adventures. A Girl Scout empowers the G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)TM within herself.

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts Heart of the South is changing girls' lives through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. We teach girls in grades K-12 to take action: for themselves, their communities and the world. And with generations of proactive, passionate women as mentors, girls have access to life-changing experiences and adventures. Local programs focus on: Healthy Living/Self-Esteem, Leadership, Camping & Outdoor Adventure, Anti-Bullying, Science Technology Engineering Arts Math (STEAM), and Arts Education. The membership, program and outdoor teams develop programs and work with community partners to offer fun with purpose. Girls are building solar-powered cars, developing healthy habits, turning flips, creating apps, reigning in a horse, becoming better drivers, and improving lives in their communities.
