Who We Are

East Arkansas Youth Services, Inc. was established for the purpose of providing community-based youth services for the prevention and treatment of juvenile delinquency. EAYS is the State contracted youth service provider for Crittenden County and six counties in the Delta and a residential provider statewide for youth in foster care. EAYS offers various levels of prevention, intervention and treatment services including an alternative education program at 106 Cypress in Marion, Arkansas.

What We Do

To provide a comprehensive continuum of care... to youth and their families and to instill motivation and courage to empower them to become healthy and productive members of their communities. A day services program with a GED curriculum and casework component for 16 & 17 year olds who have been dropped and/or expelled from public schools and/or have been ordered by the juvenile court to attend a day services program. Includes placement testing, four hours daily or twenty hours weekly of self-paced classroom educational instruction time by a teacher (+ 4 hours of extra or make-up time), case planning and follow-up by a caseworker. Also includes transportation as needed, other testing periodically to measure progress and final official GED testing through arrangement with Arkansas State University-MidSouth.
